Vitamin C Plus
We love Vitamin C. We all need it (our bodies don't make it), whether we are getting it from our diet, or supplementing, it is so important to keep us healthy. It strengthens the immune system, helping to fight infections. Great for coughs and colds, and a good antihistamine for the summer months too. And we love that this is a plant form of Vitamin C too, YAY. But just quickly, lets go back to getting Vitamin C through your diet... Soils are not as nutrient rich as they used to be, There was a study on the nutrients in certain fruits and veg from the Department of Agriculture between the 1930s and 1970s. It showed a variation of 0-116mg Vitamin C in oranges. YEP that's right, there were oranges with zero Vitamin C in them. And that was 50+ years ago. This was all down to growing condtions, travel, storage etc. But I think it is safe to say that our soils especially have declined since then. All the more reason to top up you 5 a day with supplements.
